Letters to the Editor

Message from the President

7/19/08

We are about to enter into a new year and I feel an update of all that has been going should be available to the membership.

The AGM was held in Fort Myers and thanks to the Harp and Thistle Pipe Band and especially April Witteman and her committee for the great hospitality.

I am totally aware that many reasons enter into attending or not attending the meeting but we had a quorum and the meeting went ahead as scheduled.

Some important points from the Executives reports:

·             Travel money was increased for 2007-2008 and hopefully will be increased again this 2008-2009 year.

·             Steve McLain will review the By Laws

·             We have a healthy bank balance.

·             The books are presently under review by a private accounting firm.

·             All the upgrades are on the Web Site.  www.suspba.org.

·             The election of Officers for 2008-2009 was handled by Kathy Faeh, the chair of the nominating committee.

The 2008-2009 Executive officers will be:

President                       Sandy Keith
